Historical Photos

These photographs were taken by Dr. C. Custer using his 12.5" English Yoke Telescope that was made famous during the 1950's.

The originals were on 2-1/4" glass plates in which he deposited his own emulsions. The films have been stored in a locker for many years. These images have been checked and printed for archival purposes.

These photos were thrilling in the '50s , but they are a little grainy and dull as compared to what is being produced today...but that's technology at work.

They are club astrophotos, and relics to boot and very much worth displaying. Enjoy !
